Crash diets, and fasting are not healthy ways to lose belly fat.
Not only is it silly and unsafe, being on a famine will not help you to lose weight. Period. Even if you do lose 'some' weight, you'll end up putting it back on!
If want a leaner and healthier body for life, below are 4 healthy ways to lose belly fat -
1. Pump Up Your Metabolism - It's not that hard. You just have to eat, a lot, and if you are wondering how to burn lower abdominal fat, then there is a good chance you like to eat anyway. The best way to increase your metabolism is to eat a large quantity of nutrient rich foods first thing in the morning. This would include, fruits, fiber, and a good dose of protein. An example of a good breakfast might be a large bowl of oatmeal with almonds, and half of a grapefruit. This will get your body used to burning calories right away in the morning.
2. Throw out the sodas and energy drinks - The sodas out of your company snack machine are nothing more than a sugary fix which will just add to your waistline. Step away from these at all costs. The problem is all these false fluids do not hydrate your body in the same way as plain water, and in many cases cause further dehydration. Stick to water, or low fat smoothies!
3. Eat complex carbohydrates - whole grains, vegetables, beans or lentils - rather than refined carbs such as white bread or processed cereals, as they release glucose gradually. When you see a brown bread wrapper with the words multi-grain, wheat, or some other healthy description you probably automatically think, "healthy." Yes and no. You'll score higher in the healthy column by purchasing bread that is whole grain.
4. Forget the long boring cardios - don't be the like the others pumping away mindlessly for hours on a boring cardio equipment. There are not as effective as interval training and 'complex movement 'strength training like the front squats, the dead-lift, and spider man push ups. A combination of such challenging exercises have been proven to stimulate more fat burning hormones during and after a workout - and are the basis for a lean and strong body! The high intensity training workouts illustrated in The Truth About Six Pack Abs are a great resource, and very effective for both men and women - and have the ultimate hard body exercises.
